About me

My Story

Gianni Palmarini is an NYC based actor, singer and musician by way of Philadelphia, PA, where he was born and raised (Go Phils!). Gianni’s love for the theatre began at the age of 5, when his parents took him to see the Broadway revival of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”… He was hooked. From then on, when he wasn’t in rehearsals for a musical, choral ensemble or band set, Gianni was studying music theory, cantoring a wedding or perfecting his latest Billy Joel tune on the piano. He took his talents to North Carolina, where he earned his BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University.

An avid singer, pianist, and saxophonist, Gianni is grateful for the many opportunities he’s been given post-grad. Most recently, Gianni was seen as the sax-playing Jimmy Campbell in the Western Premier of BANDSTAND at The Phoenix Theatre Company and Joe Pesci/Frankie Valli in JERSEY BOYS at the historic Forestburgh Playhouse in New York. This production marked his 4th Jersey Boys. Currently, Gianni is playing Pvt. Angelo Maggio in the Midwest Premier of Sir Tim Rice’s New Musical, “From Here to Eternity” at Skylight Music Theatre in Milwaukee, WI. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!

When not acting, Gianni is a gigging musician in NYC, most often playing keys for Alex Crossland, a new indie-folk artist based in the city. Stream Alex’s new single PARADE HERE.

Gianni is a proud first generation American and above all, has a passion for people and building strong relationships, a skill he inherited from his Italian immigrant father. He hopes to create meaningful work and use his skills and talent to tell powerful stories. Cheers!
